Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst IT L2 Location: Torrance, CA Work Model: Onsite Compensation: $105-110k Work Type: Onsite 4 days per week Travel: No Overtime: No Position Overview Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements. Analyze business partnersโ€™ operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process automation or enhancement. Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend practical, data-driven solutions. Gather, refine, and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies, risks, and issues. Translate high-level requirements into detailed requirement specifications and user stories. Ensure requirements are clear, concise, and aligned with business goals. Data Analysis & Reporting Collect, clean, and analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to visualize key business metrics. Interpret data and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and successful project delivery. Conduct regular meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on progress, findings, and recommendations. What You Will Be Doing Supporting the team lead with business and data analysis for one or more projects. Analyzing current business processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Gathering, refining, and documenting business requirements for new features, and enhancements Conducting data analysis/data profiling on new data domains to uncover insights and support ETL development Translate business requirements for building dashboards, reports, and KPIs to technical requirements Partnering with cross๏ฟฝ?functional teams (developers, designers, SMEs, business stakeholders) to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and implemented accurately. Lead SIT testing to ensure accuracy in data migration activities Participating in agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and standups. Preparing documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and workflow diagrams as needed. Presenting findings, insights, and project updates to both technical and non๏ฟฝ?technical stakeholders. Assisting with validation, UAT, and data quality checks for new enhancements and journey orchestration components. Monitoring data quality issues and supporting teams in resolving discrepancies between curated data, dashboards, and source systems. Contributing to continuous improvement efforts by recommending tools, processes, and best practices for business analysis and data analytics. Whatโ€™s Needed Qualifications (MUST HAVES): Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 2-3 Years Of Technical Or Business Experience Preferred. Strong analytical and problem๏ฟฝ?solving skills with the ability to gather, organize, and interpret large data sets. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and PowerBI. Basic understanding of database concepts and data modeling. Proficiency in testing especially validating data flows between source and target systems with accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies. High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results. NICE TO HAVE (optional) Preferred Skills Familiarity with Python, R, SAS, COBOL Knowledge of statistical analysis methods.
