Role description
Airswift is seeking an IT Business Analyst to work on a 12-months assignment with a leader in Energy delivery. Job Description The IT Business Analyst within our client's IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) group, will play a pivotal role in aligning IT solutions with business needs. They'll act as a technical liaison, supporting strategic technology planning, citizen development, and risk management; aiming to empower business users to leverage modern tools and platforms effectively. Key Responsibilities β€’ Technology Awareness & Advisory β€’ Power Platform Enablement β€’ Develop and support solutions using PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot. β€’ Promote best practices and governance for Power Platform usage. β€’ Mentor and guide business users in building low-code/no-code applications. β€’ Conduct workshops and provide documentation to empower citizen developers. β€’ Facilitate risk assessments with business units for new and existing applications. β€’ Support disaster recovery planning and ensure alignment with IT continuity protocols. β€’ Apply foundational database knowledge to support solution design and evaluation. β€’ Assist in technical estimates and planning for business initiatives. β€’ Coordinate with internal IT groups to resolve technical issues and service requests. β€’ Track and follow up on IT tickets to ensure timely resolution. β€’ Work directly with business users to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions. β€’ Collaborate with Customer Engagement Specialists to support business initiatives and technology roadmaps. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform: PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot. β€’ Strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling. β€’ Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems. β€’ Ability to conduct risk assessments and contribute to disaster recovery planning. β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with business stakeholders. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. β€’ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field. β€’ 5+ years of experience in IT advisory, application development, or business analysis. β€’ Experience in a BRM or cross-functional IT/business role. β€’ Knowledge of agile methodologies and digital transformation practices.
