Role: Business Analyst – E-Invoicing
Location: Manchester, UK
Contract: 12 Months/ Hybrid
Experience: 6–10 Years
Rate: £450–500/day (Inside IR35)
We're hiring a Business Analyst to support the implementation of a centralized, automated e-invoicing solution across Germany, the UK, and Poland for a leading UK telecommunications company. This role focuses on gathering business and regulatory requirements, defining future-state processes, and ensuring compliance with German B2B e-invoicing regulations, GoBD, multi-VAT scenarios, and upcoming EU ViDA standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather and document business, functional, tax, and compliance requirements
• Assess current invoice-receiving, validation, processing, and archiving processes
• Define future-state e-invoicing processes and workflows
• Support structured invoice formats such as XRechnung and ZUGFeRD
• Capture requirements across multi-entity, multi-country, and multi-VAT scenarios
• Ensure GoBD-compliant archiving and non-recoverable input tax scenarios are covered
• Coordinate with Finance, Tax, AP, Compliance, IT, and implementation teams
• Prepare process flows, user stories, functional specs, and acceptance criteria
• Support solution design, testing, defect resolution, deployment, and business readiness
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and compliance risk
Required Skills & Experience
• 6–10 years as a Business Analyst, ideally within Finance, Tax, or AP transformation
• Strong understanding of invoicing, VAT, AP, and financial processes
• Experience with e-invoicing, tax compliance, or finance transformation programmes
• Knowledge of German B2B e-invoicing regulations, XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, and GoBD preferred
• Experience with SAP, ERP, invoice management, or tax technology solutions
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills
Preferred
• Multi-country European implementation experience
• Knowledge of EU ViDA regulations and digital tax reporting
• Agile/hybrid delivery experience
• Exposure to automation, workflow, OCR, or AI-driven invoice processing
