Business Analyst

Job Title - Business Analyst III Location - Austin, TX (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only) Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Business Analyst III on behalf of our client in Austin, TX. This hybrid role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in requirements gathering, data analysis, testing, and Agile methodologies. The selected candidate will support web-based application initiatives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements for web-based applications. • Develop and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs) to ensure complete requirement coverage. • Create UI mock-ups and actively participate in design discussions with stakeholders and technical teams. • Write comprehensive test cases and test scripts to validate system functionality. • Execute testing for web services and batch processing jobs. • Perform data analysis using SQL to support application functionality, validation, and reporting needs. • Collaborate within Agile teams throughout the project lifecycle, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. • Support quality assurance efforts and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in requirements gathering and testing for web-based applications. • 5+ years of experience performing SQL-based data analysis. • 5+ years of experience creating UI mock-ups. • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTMs). • 5+ years of experience writing test cases and test scripts. • 5+ years of experience testing batch jobs and web services. • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Must be based in or near Austin, TX and available for a hybrid work schedule. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in Agile environments. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Experience supporting public sector or large enterprise environments is a plus.
