Business Analyst

Business Analyst Location: Remote, US Terms: W-2 Contract, 05/01/2026 – 12/31/2026 • • • This role is not open to third party candidates or employers. Sponsorship is not provided at this time or in the future due to end client requirements. Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Business Analyst for a 7-month contract period, starting in early May and continuing through December 2026. This role will support Agile delivery through requirements gathering, process analysis, and testing as well as partnering with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities • Gather and document requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Analyze and map business processes to drive improvements • Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts (manual/automated) • Track defects and manage testing in qTest • Test system integrations and ensure requirement coverage • Communicate updates, risks, and blockers via Jira, Microsoft Teams, and email Required Skills • Stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills • Business process analysis and documentation experience • Test planning, execution, and defect tracking (qTest) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced Agile environment • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria Preferred Skills • API-driven architecture experience • Postman (API testing) • Balsamiq (wireframing) Expectations • Contribute within a SAFe Agile team • Deliver ~85% of committed sprint work • Ensure stories meet acceptance criteria • Proactively communicate risks and escalate blockers Experience and Education: • Minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in a fast-moving enterprise level environment • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Capstone Consulting is an EEO employer.
