Business Analyst

A leading utility organization is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support its Smart Metering Program. The Business Analyst will play a key role in gathering business requirements, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, validating system integrations, and supporting the successful deployment of advanced gas metering infrastructure across multiple states. Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements supporting Smart Meter deployment initiatives. • Evaluate business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend scalable solutions. • Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate project updates, requirements, and recommendations. • Collaborate with program management, operations, IT, and business stakeholders to align deployment activities across multiple workstreams. • Develop and maintain project documentation, business process documentation, and deployment procedures. • Communicate technical Smart Meter specification changes and monitor progress against project milestones. • Develop integration test plans for gas metering systems across internal and external environments. • Perform data mapping between client-server applications and SAP based on business requirements. • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate end-to-end Smart Meter data across enterprise systems. • Monitor stakeholder changes and deployment interdependencies throughout the Smart Metering Program. • Support change management initiatives, business process standardization, and continuous improvement efforts. • Maintain Smart Meter deployment best practices and ensure solutions align with long-term program objectives. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Five to seven years of Business Analyst experience. • Experience gathering business requirements and supporting enterprise technology implementations. • Experience working with SAP in a business or systems environment. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Google BigQuery. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business process improvement skills. • Experience supporting system integration, testing, user acceptance testing, and data validation activities. • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
