About People’s Partnership
At the heart of our not-for-profit organisation is a commitment and a motivation to make the future-saving experience a simple one for our members. We champion fairness and simplicity, not profit-chasing. Imagine a financial adventure where everyone's a winner, fuelled by our exceptional service and brought to life by the fantastic individuals who work for us. We're a diverse employer with a flexible, hybrid working approach, ensuring everyone gets the opportunity to come to work and be the best version of themselves.
What You'll Be Doing
This Business Analyst role plays a critical part in shaping and delivering a specialist analytics capability to support our centralised reporting function. The role is strongly data‑focused and requires hands‑on engagement with data to define business meaning, support trusted reporting, and enable effective, outcome‑led decision‑making.
This is not a traditional requirements‑only BA role. The successful candidate will need to have strong data literacy, analytical capability, and close collaboration with data governance, data engineering and reporting teams.
• Shape and clarify business needs for reporting and analytics, grounded in outcomes and decision‑making
• Translate business needs into clear data and information requirements
• Support prioritisation by highlighting value, feasibility, and data dependencies
• Work directly with data to understand structure, content, and meaning across multiple source systems
• Define and maintain business data definitions, measures, and metrics
• Contribute to data dictionaries models to support consistent reporting
• Support analysis of datasets to identify quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps
• Support verification and validation of data against business intent and expectations
• Help ensure reporting reflects real‑world business meaning, not just system logic
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on data‑heavy or analytics‑focused initiatives
• Strong data literacy, including understanding of data models, data lineage, measures, and data quality
• Ability to analyse and interpret data, not just document requirements
• Experience defining business metrics and supporting reporting or MI initiatives
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Comfortable working closely with technical teams in Agile delivery environments
• Hands‑on experience working with BI or analytics platforms
• Proficiency in basic SQL
• Experience contributing to or owning data definitions or semantic models
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar platforms
Disability Statement
People's Partnership is an equal opportunities employer. We believe everyone has the right to be treated fairly, with dignity and respect. We are committed to treating all our people (and all who apply for a role at People's Partnership) equally and enabling them to perform at their best and demonstrate what they have to offer. This role may support hybrid working. To make use of this arrangement, employees must have an appropriate home working environment, including a private workspace and reliable, secure high speed internet that enables them to perform their duties effectively. We are a disability committed employer, please let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments made to our recruitment process (application, selection assessments where relevant, and interview) to enable you to show us the best “you”.
