Business Analyst - Purview, Data Discovery - Outside IR35

An immediate‑start Contract Business Analyst is required to support a fast‑paced data discovery programme across several critical business areas. You’ll bring strong experience in Microsoft Purview, data/information security, and complex data landscapes. What you’ll do • Lead end‑to‑end data discovery across multiple business domains • Work with technical and business teams to understand data flows, storage, and security needs • Map current‑state processes and data journeys, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities • Support data migration and standardisation activities • Produce clear documentation, insights, and recommendations • Deliver at pace within a small, focused project team What you’ll bring • Hands‑on data discovery experience in complex environments • Strong Microsoft Purview knowledge (classification, governance, lineage) • Ability to work autonomously and operate in fast‑moving projects • Proven process and data‑flow mapping skills • Excellent communication and ability to translate technical findings • Experience with DLP, AIP, and cloud collaboration platforms (OneDrive, SharePoint) • Exposure to data migration programmes If you’re available immediately and meet the requirements, please share your profile — we need someone ready to start.
