Business Analyst

Job Title: Business Analyst (Mid–Senior Level) Location: Fully Remote (Available to candidates based in Phoenix, AZ, Idaho, and Michigan) We are seeking a Mid–Senior Level Business Analyst (BA) with a diverse industry background, strong technical acumen, and hands-on experience in Agile environments. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business needs and technical delivery, leveraging analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive impactful outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. • Work within an Agile/Scrum framework — participate in Rally-based sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives. • Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows. • Perform advanced data analysis and validation using SQL to support data-driven decisions and troubleshoot issues. • Collaborate with developers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented correctly in PowerBuilder and related technologies. • Conduct impact analyses for system enhancements and identify opportunities for process improvements. • Support QA teams by developing test cases, validating results, and ensuring alignment with business expectations. • Communicate effectively across departments and management levels to ensure transparency and alignment on priorities and deliverables. • Maintain detailed documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally across multiple industries (e.g., , utilities, logistics, manufacturing, or technology). • Proven experience working in Agile environments using Rally (CA Agile Central) and participating in Sprint-based project cycles. • Technical BA experience with proficiency in: • SQL (queries, data validation, data analysis) • PowerBuilder (understanding application logic, UI, and data layers) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capability to translate technical details into business context. • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with data migration and system integration projects. • Exposure to cloud-based solutions and data analytics platforms. • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews.
