For more details, please connect with Pawan Shrivastava at 609-371-5400 or email at pawans@vgroupinc.com End Client: Virginia Information Technology Agency(Virginia Department of Health) Job Title: Business Analyst Duration: 2 Months after starting Start Date: ASAP Location: 109 Governor St, Richmond, VA 23235 – Hybrid Position Type: Contract No. of Hours: 40 hrs/week Interview Type: In Person Only Requirement ID: 799036 Department: Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Professional Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Business Analyst to support the design, development, and optimization of custom financial systems This role bridges finance and technology, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into functional system solutions that enhance financial reporting, planning, and operations Required Skills: • 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in finance or financial systems with strong understanding of general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, and grants • 5 years of experience working with custom-built or configurable financial systems • 5 years of proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Visio) • 4 years of familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Sprint) • 4 years of strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • 4 years of experience translating complex financial rules into technical requirements Preferred Skills: • 3 years of experience with ERP systems (Oracle Financials or similar financial applications) • 3 years of knowledge in financial data modeling and database structures • 2 years of understanding APIs, ETL tools, and integrations between financial modules • 2 years of experience working in government or public-sector environments • Certifications such as CBAP, CFA, CPA, or PMI-PBA Responsibilities: • Partner with finance stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows • Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams throughout SDLC • Analyze financial processes and identify automation and efficiency improvements • Support implementation/configuration of financial modules (GL, AP/AR, budgeting, grants, forecasting) • Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation • Develop test plans, execute UAT, and document results • Create user documentation and provide end-user support • Assist with system integrations (ERP, CRM, data warehouses) • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements V Group Inc. is a NJ-based IT Services and Products Company with its business strategically categorized in various Business Units including Public Sector, Enterprise Solutions, Professional Services, Ecommerce, Projects, and Products.
