We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of major regulatory and strategic change initiatives within a Corporate and Investment Banking environment. The role will focus on translating complex regulatory requirements into business and technology solutions, working closely with Risk, Finance, Data, and Technology teams to ensure compliant and effective implementation.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and interpret regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on business processes, data, systems, and controls.
• Work with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology to define business requirements and target operating models.
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into Agile Features, Epics, and User Stories that can be delivered by Technology teams.
• Perform detailed data analysis to identify source systems, data flows, transformations, and reporting requirements.
• Document current and future-state business processes and support the design of process improvements.
• Collaborate with Technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, providing business context and clarification to support solution development.
• Support governance, testing, implementation, and regulatory readiness activities.
• Ensure solutions align with data management and control requirements, including BCBS 239 principles and data governance standards.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment across multiple functions and delivery teams.
Required Skills and Experience
• Strong experience delivering change within a Corporate and Investment Banking environment.
• Good understanding of Risk and Finance systems, processes, and data.
• Knowledge of Finance operating processes, regulatory reporting, and associated data requirements.
• Understanding of Market Risk concepts, methodologies, and related data flows.
• Experience working on regulatory change programmes, including requirements interpretation, impact assessment, and implementation support.
• Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to trace data lineage, identify data quality issues, and analyse complex datasets.
• Demonstrable experience translating business and regulatory requirements into Agile delivery artefacts, including Features, Epics, and User Stories.
• Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional Technology teams.
• Knowledge of business process redesign and change management principles.
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Experience of delivering programmes related to Basel IV regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of BCBS 239 principles and practical experience implementing data governance, data lineage, data quality, and control frameworks.
• Experience working across multiple Risk disciplines and Finance functions in large-scale transformation programmes.
Personal Attributes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
