Overview
We are supporting a growing retail organisation within the pet products sector that is investing in its data and analytics capability. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Business Analyst who enjoys working with data, solving operational challenges, and partnering with stakeholders to drive business performance.
The successful candidate will work across multiple business functions, translating data into actionable insights that support operational improvements, customer experience enhancements, and revenue growth. This role offers broad exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to influence key strategic initiatives within a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with cross-functional teams including product, operations, sales, and technology to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that enable stakeholders to monitor performance and make informed decisions.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement, cost reduction, and revenue growth.
• Support key business initiatives by delivering actionable insights, impact assessments, and data-driven recommendations.
• Assist with process mapping, business case development, and requirements gathering to support strategic projects.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and track progress against objectives.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to improve reporting capabilities and support data-driven decision making.
• Deliver both ad hoc analysis and recurring reporting to support business priorities.
• Help drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role.
• Strong experience using SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering business requirements, supporting projects, and working across multiple departments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Previous experience within a retail, consumer goods, or customer-focused environment would be advantageous.
