Job Title: Business Analyst 2 - Fleet Data & Process Optimization, Financial & Asset Planning Job Number: 11948 Location: Vancouver, WA Onsite: 5 days per Week Travel: Up to 5% for local meetings Length: 5 years MUST be US Citizen to be eligible to apply for Federal Background Check Requires Real ID and or Valid Passport to interview SUMMARY The Business Analyst 2 assignment will provide analytical support for the Fleet department, facilitating, coordinating, developing, revising and providing recommended courses of actions for the overall Fleet program and providing budget analytical support for the Fleet capital procurement team This position will support and assist the department completing documentation for business requirements which guide the Fleet program development efforts, working closely with Fleet team members and business partners to ensure successful implementation of organizational requirements. This assignment will support Fleet leadership and will help them to develop efficiencies to streamline processes. In addition to supporting effective processes, this position will support the department by serving as a general point of contact and technical expert for asset management process and planning documentation. This assignment will work closely with our equipment specialists to support management directives and goals within the fleet department. As a resource for Fleet internal processes, this assignment will research, coordinate, validate and offer direction when it comes to Fleet’s strategic asset management program and assist with any systems requiring data entering, updating and validating data accuracy, documentation updating and creating new documents POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES β€’ Support Fleet through the facilitation process for gathering and analyzing information using standard tools and approaches to: β€’ Understand Fleet expense and capital finance programs as it pertains to long term asset planning. β€’ Document/map the current and future state of various Fleet processes. β€’ Identify solution alternatives, evaluate the alternatives, and define procedures. β€’ Identify gaps and process improvements opportunities on various Fleet program activities and subjects β€’ Provide recommendations and, implement corporate management-approved improvement efforts / initiatives. β€’ Assist Fleet management in developing departmental management process improvements β€’ Confer with stakeholders to establish technical specifications and to identify subject material to be developed for publication. β€’ Facilitate and assist with routine asset management and finance activities across Fleet and in coordination with the Finance org, Asset Management organization and corporate manager(s) β€’ Providing reporting on Fleet Inventory and associated expenses. β€’ Providing monthly reviews of various fleet program deliverables β€’ Interfacing with Finance and Asset Management Departments, which may include collaborating and coordinating on monthly processes and reporting; researching and responding to internal and external inquiries; performing requested adjustments; and, improving cross-org procedures, processes and practices. β€’ Alerting corporate workplace manager (or designee) to any issues or concerns with Fleet program elements and providing recommendations to address those concerns. β€’ Provide basic financial analysis and recommendations on related Fleet business issues β€’ Work collaboratively across the organization to solve problems, utilize conflict resolution techniques and support continual process improvement. REQUIREMENTS Education & Experience: β€’ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Logistics and Transportation Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field (focus on process optimization), Information Technology or Computer Science (especially with a focus on business analysis) or a closely related discipline is preferred. β€’ With an applicable Bachelor’s Degree, 5 years of experience is required. β€’ With an applicable Associates Degree, 7 years of experience is required. β€’ Without an applicable degree, 9 years of experience is required. Required Skills & Experience β€’ Qualified applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following: Data Analysis & Interpretation: β€’ Proficiency in gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets related to fleet expenses, capital programs and asset utilization. This includes identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies. β€’ Experience with data analysis tools and reporting systems β€’ Ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements and cost optimization. Process Mapping & Business Process Analysis (corporate): β€’ Expertise in documenting and mapping current and future states of various Fleet processes using standard tools β€’ Ability to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.] Financial Acumen: β€’ Understanding of financial management principles, including fleet expense and capital finance programs. β€’ Ability to conduct financial analysis of acquisition options, lifecycle analysis, and basic accounting principles relevant to fleet assets. β€’ Knowledge of budgeting processes, including projecting and planning for future financial activities, and cost control strategies. Technical Writing & Documentation: β€’ Strong ability to create clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including process maps, procedures, reports, and recommendations. β€’ Proficiency in using tools for creating diagrams, illustrations, and documents β€’ Ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable content for various stakeholders. Project Management: β€’ Skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple tasks and initiatives to meet deadlines. β€’ Understanding of project life cycle phases (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, measuring effectiveness).
