Description: Position: Business Analyst Location: Springfield, VA Clearance: Active TS/SCI Overview: To secure an award, we are recruiting a highly experienced Business Analyst with an active TS/SCI Clearance to lead high-impact initiatives, provide strategic guidance, and drive process modernization across the enterprise. This role requires a blend of deep subject matter expertise, program management, and leadership to solve complex organizational challenges. The analyst operates with significant autonomy, advising senior leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring the alignment of programs with strategic objectives. This position is central to enhancing GEOINT capabilities, improving business functions, and ensuring the successful execution of critical missions through expert analysis, process re-engineering, and stakeholder collaboration. The significance of the work: This role is essential to helping NGA operate more effectively by translating mission needs into actionable business solutions. The Senior Business Analyst drives data-informed decision-making, process improvement, and strategic alignment that directly supports NGA’s ability to deliver timely and accurate GEOINT capabilities. The Work Location: Springfield, VA What You’ll Do: Approach work with a strategic, analytical, and mission-focused mindset. Collaborate with government stakeholders to refine and document business requirements, clarify operational objectives, and assess organizational performance. Apply data analytics and business analysis techniques to identify inefficiencies, evaluate risks, and recommend solutions that improve processes, compliance, and mission outcomes. Lead or support process improvement initiatives, performance assessments, and strategic planning efforts. Develop briefings, reports, and decision support materials for senior leadership. Serve as an action officer as required, coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule in alignment with NGA priorities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Integrate additions, deletions, or changes into the GEOINT essential body of knowledge, certification framework, certification blueprints, or certification scheme, maintain GOLD program datasets, perform data quality audits, and prepare analytical summaries and staffing packages for GEOINT Certification Program Governance Council approval, including visualizations of impacts on the certification structures. Review the production of the GEOINT Certification Program Design Document (PDD) that codifies the GEOINT certification program’s policies, processes, and procedures and provides stakeholders visibility into the strategic, operational, and technical elements of a certification program according to the prescribed format in DoDM 3305.10. Utilize data modeling to ensure stakeholder visibility through dashboards and reports that highlight certification program metrics and compliance. Prepare and Review applications packages and associated documentation for external accreditation of NGA certification programs in accordance with the requirements of the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Examine statistical analyses to validate data integrity, track accreditation timelines, and generate predictive models for potential compliance risk. Manage, track, audit, and report on certification maintenance activities in accordance with established and documented procedures, using established procedures and data management tools (e.g., databases, ETL process. Facilitate process improvements using machine learning to optimize workflow efficiency and effectiveness. Manage and maintain the GEOINT Certification Program information to ensure that it verifies, validates, and is updated to reflect mission, policy, doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedure changes, to ensure alignment with evolving requirements, and implementation of automation updates. Maintain the Certification Conferral including the maintenance of records, development of lists, and the preparation of staffing certificates. Support the Annual Reports on GEOINT Accreditation and Certification collaboratively with Engineering and cross-functional partners, and guiding data-influenced product planning, prioritization and strategy development, predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation/causal inference methods. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research - 7+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, MATLAB) 7 years demonstrated experience preparing applications packages and maintaining accreditation for certification programs in accordance with the requirements of the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) 7 years demonstrated experience supporting credentialing best practices and applying them in development and maintenance of professional certification or certificate programs. Working effectively with complex analytics projects across multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams, including Engineering, PM/TPM, and Analytics. Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires you to have an active TS/SCI Clearance. A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.
