Role description
Position Title: Business Analyst
Location: Peoria, IL
Duration: 10-Month Contract
Work Model: Onsite
Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Role & Responsibilities
β’ Act as the primary liaison between business partners and IT development teams.
β’ Gather, document, and communicate business requirements for future solutions.
β’ Perform and lead business process analyses to define objectives and methods.
β’ Coordinate with product development engineers (using Agile/Scrum) to track and communicate design and development progress.
β’ Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT): write test scripts, work with business partners to execute UAT, and provide status feedback to the development team.
β’ Write training documents, job aids, and provide support and training to business partners.
β’ Ensure the solution complies with internal policies (e.g., SoX) and external regulations.
β’ Identify, document, and report design, reliability, and maintenance problems and bugs.
β’ Provide expert advice on enterprise business processes and support 2-3 projects concurrently.
Required Experience
β’ Education: Bachelorβs and/or Masterβs degree with 5-7 years of experience in business processes and systems, OR an Associateβs degree with 10+ years of experience.
β’ Experience: Previous experience as a Business Analyst for the development of large and complex IT solutions.
β’ Methodology: Familiarity with IT development using Agile methodology and the Agile development lifecycle.
β’ Technical Awareness: Familiarity with programming languages and technologies such as Java, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
β’ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Leadership: Ability to work with and provide leadership to offshore teams.
Technical Skills (Nice-to-Have)
β’ Development Background: Previous experience as a Software Engineer (in Java or similar).
β’ Platform Experience: Experience with off-the-shelf solutions (e.g., Salesforce).
Disqualifiers / Red Flags
β’ Unwillingness to work 5 days a week onsite in Peoria, IL.
β’ A timid personality or lack of initiative.
β’ Choppy tenure or a history of consistent job-hopping.
β’ Inability to demonstrate experience with large, complex IT projects in an Agile environment.
