Business Analyst
About the Role
Our client, a cloud-focused IT services and consulting firm, is hiring a Business Analyst to join the Project Management Office within its Professional Services organization. In this role, you will act as the connective tissue between clients, stakeholders, and technical teams—surfacing business needs, examining how work gets done today, and turning what you learn into requirements that drive effective technology solutions.
Business Analysts support the firm's IT services and consulting engagements by gathering and documenting requirements, leading stakeholder conversations, and keeping solutions tied to real business goals. The strongest candidates pair sharp analytical, communication, and problem-solving instincts with experience in fast-moving, client-facing settings. Expect to support several concurrent projects at once.
What You'll Do
• Elicit, analyze, document, organize, and prioritize business, functional, and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions.
• Act as the liaison among clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams, keeping communication clear and everyone aligned toward a successful solution.
• Examine business processes, workflows, and systems to pinpoint the root causes behind challenges, spot opportunities to improve, and recommend solutions that work.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, use cases, and supporting project documentation.
• Partner with project teams to confirm that proposed solutions map to business goals, operational realities, and client expectations.
• Lead requirements review sessions and stakeholder approvals, and maintain requirements traceability across the project lifecycle.
• Help prioritize initiatives, enhancements, and deliverables based on business value, strategic direction, and organizational need.
• Collect, normalize, and analyze data from multiple sources, then summarize it to support business decisions and client reporting.
• Identify and interpret trends, patterns, and insights within data sets to inform process improvements and strategic recommendations.
• Build and refine reports, dashboards, visualizations, and process maps that communicate findings clearly and point to action.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and implementation efforts to confirm business requirements are met.
• Maintain and improve process documentation, reporting assets, data repositories, and operational procedures.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams—project managers, developers, QA, data teams, and business partners—to move delivery forward and drive continuous improvement.
• Juggle multiple assignments, competing priorities, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Track emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and flag opportunities for process optimization, automation, and modernization.
What You Bring
• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 2+ years in a client- or customer-facing role.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
• A knack for influencing stakeholders and working closely with them to land on workable solutions.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Sharp analytical, critical, and conceptual thinking paired with solid problem-solving.
• Strong organizational and self-management skills, with the planning and time management to match.
• Comfort adapting and delivering in fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have
• AWS certification (e.g., Cloud Practitioner).
