Role description
Role : Business Analyst
Location: Miami ,FL
Duration: 6 months
Experience with the following is required:
7+ years of experience, and proven track record of delivering complex IT software projects in a large organization using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
Proven experience with end-to-end software implementation from requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training, deployment, to support.
Strong experience in collaboration with stakeholders from various departments and professional backgrounds, to define project scope, requirements, business goals, and technical deliverables.
Highly proficient in writing, creating, and maintaining documentation: as-is diagrams, to-be diagrams, user stories, requirement documents, test plans, among others.
Extensive hands-on experience with the full Microsoft software suite, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Project, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps, with strong
proficiency in leveraging these tools for documentation, communication, and collaboration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
Work duties may include:
Analyze and understand existing business processes within the organization; identify areas for improvement and recommend process changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Develop as-is and to-be process diagrams; maintain requirements traceability matrix, among other deliverables.
Manage project tasks related to business analysis activities using Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including tracking progress and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
Assist in change management activities related to system implementations, including conducting impact assessments, developing training materials, and providing support to end-users during the transition period.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, define, and translate business requirements into user stories and technical specifications.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to design innovative solutions that meet organizational needs.
Prepare training materials and assist the customer in conducting end-user training.
Support testing activities by coordinating test planning, test case development, and execution; ensure all testing aligns with project requirements and that identified issues are addressed prior to deployment.
Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers.
Provide regular project updates, status reports, and conduct presentations to keep stakeholders informed about project progress and milestones.
Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of supported systems; identify areas for improvement, conduct post-implementation reviews, and recommend enhancements to optimize system functionality and user experience.
Identify risks and issues related to business analysis activities and work proactively to mitigate them; escalate critical issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Seven years of experience in business analysis, software implementation and agile methodology are required.
Additional related work experience in software Development, analysis or implementation may substitute for the required college education on a year for year basis.
