Role description
Paragon IT Professionals is seeking a Business Analyst for our premier client to serve as the liaison between the Information Technology Services and multiple business units for large, complex projects. This role is responsible for eliciting and documenting project requirements and validating that solutions meet the departmentβs objective, collaborating with project stakeholders, and championing solutions through education and change leadership.
Requirements
Education & Experience
β’ A relevant degree from an accredited college or university such as Bachelorβs Degree (e.g., B.A.), training, coursework, and work experience relevant to the assignment.
β’ Minimum of six years' experience in business analysis and/or project management
Knowledge/Understanding
β’ Knowledge of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK)
β’ Knowledge and understanding of software development processes, including requirements and technical design analysis, development, system and user testing, problem resolution, and planning
β’ Basic knowledge of tax-related policies and procedures
β’ Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, and business process modeling
Skills
β’ Superb verbal, written, and listening communication skills
β’ Superb organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations
β’ Effective negotiation and elicitation skills
β’ Effective interpersonal skills and demeanor
β’ Effective project leadership skills in order to keep project timelines on track
β’ Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint; and in the use of Google Suite applications such as Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Drive.
β’ Proficient in the use of systems such as TFS and Azure DevOps
Abilities
β’ Ability to clear a comprehensive background and clearance process that includes an Arizona tax compliance verification, and a criminal background check through the FBI via level one fingerprint clearance through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
β’ Ability to comfortably speak to and facilitate meetings with large groups of people
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
β’ Ability to work in a confidential manner, ensuring information is shared with internal and external individuals in an appropriate manner
β’ Ability to understand and solve problems by applying intermediate analytical skills to include collecting all the relevant information and data needed to address the problem; organizing, classifying and synthesizing the data into fundamental issues; from the information, identifying the most probable causes of the problem; reducing the information down into manageable components; identifying the logical outcomes from the analyses of the data collected; and, identifying the options and solutions for addressing the problems analyzed.
