Business Analyst - LFO (Liquid Field Operations) 📍 Houston, TX (Onsite 5 Days/Week, Every Other Friday Remote) ⏳ 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Full-Time Conversion) About the Role We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the Liquid Field Operations (LFO) team by transforming data into actionable business insights through reporting, analytics, process improvement, and visualization tools. This role will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Services teams to improve system efficiency, reporting capabilities, and decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level analyst who enjoys working with data, reporting tools, SharePoint, and Microsoft's Power Platform. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting • Utilize Power Apps and Power Automate to improve workflows and reporting processes • Support reporting and analytics initiatives related to cost management, workforce planning, safety, and operational performance • Enhance and maintain SharePoint sites and reporting resources • Work with Dynamics 365 (D365) data to improve reporting accuracy and business insights • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities • Prepare monthly budget analysis reports and presentations for leadership • Track FTE changes, capital tool purchases, vehicle costs, and labor analytics • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Required Qualifications • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI • Experience with Power Apps and/or Power Automate • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) • Experience building, maintaining, or improving SharePoint sites • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting • Exposure to operational reporting, KPI tracking, or workforce analytics • Recent Computer Science graduates with hands-on Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Platform project experience are encouraged to apply Success in This Role The successful candidate will help rebuild and improve reporting capabilities, deliver meaningful operational insights, maintain accurate scorecards and budget reporting, and identify efficiencies that improve safety, reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost management.
