Job Title: Business / Functional Analyst β Vision Next (VN)
Location: Berkley Heights, NJ (5 days onsite)
Contract
Duration : 12+ months with extension
Domain: Fintech
Primary Skills
β’ Strong understanding of Vision Next (core banking / cards / payments ecosystem)
β’ Knowledge of card lifecycle: Authorization, Validation, Personalization, Administration
β’ Understanding of banking processes: Billing, Invoicing, Statements, Fees (Interchange, Cash Fee, etc.)
β’ Expertise in regulatory compliance and global financial regulations
β’ Ability to perform deep functional analysis and product-level impact assessment
β’ Experience in process re-engineering and automation within VN workflows
β’ Strong documentation skills for product features, APIs, and business processes
Secondary Skills
β’ Atlassian JIRA & Confluence (Agile delivery & documentation)
β’ MS SQL / Data Analysis
β’ API understanding (REST/OpenAPI) and integration concepts
β’ MS Office (Excel-heavy reporting, PowerPoint for stakeholder communication)
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
β’ Act as a Vision Next SME, driving functional discussions and solution alignment with business stakeholders
β’ Lead requirements elicitation workshops and translate business needs into VN-compatible functional specifications
β’ Define and document current vs. target state processes aligned to VN product capabilities
β’ Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams for feature design and delivery
β’ Manage and prioritize product backlog, user stories, and sprint activities
β’ Drive functional analysis for VN modules (cards, billing, customer management, etc.)
β’ Support API-driven integrations and document functional contracts/use cases
β’ Own test strategy: Functional testing, regression cycles, and validation of VN implementations
β’ Produce senior management reports, KPIs, and product insights
β’ Identify and implement automation opportunities across VN processes
β’ Maintain JIRA dashboards and Confluence knowledge repositories
Preferred Background & Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs / Masterβs in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
β’ Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in Agile environments (β₯4 years)
β’ Hands-on experience with Vision Next or similar core banking/cards platforms
β’ Strong understanding of end-to-end payment/card processing flows
β’ Experience working on API-based architectures and microservices ecosystems
Preferred Personal Qualities
β’ Strong product mindset with focus on scalability and reusability
β’ Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
β’ Ability to create clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
β’ Skilled in test plan creation and execution oversight
