Business Data Analyst

Our core expertise lies in six key areas: Cloud Engineering, Application Engineering, Data Engineering, Core Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Domain expertise Job Purpose/Summary In this role you will interact with business leaders and help them convert their needs into vision and requirements for the product – modules of ReverseServ Elite and related systems. You will work with developers, testers, release team to bring this vision to reality. You will prioritize requirements and define scope to meet business needs in a timely manner given available resources. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-moving team. Duties and responsibilities • Define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product consistent with overall product vision • Build cost-benefit analysis and ensure that required target of return on investment is met • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy • Lead scrum teams: provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities • Leverage Jira to review staff deliverables • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals • Partner with Operations to identify areas in need of improvement to increase organizational efficiency and decrease risks • Research problems and drive them to resolution • Report on progress, statues, risks, and next steps to the Sponsors, Business Owners, and Executive Management Education • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field Experience/Training • 5+ years of experience as a software product owner or similar role • Experience with DB querying and creating data mapping requirements • 5+ years of experience with loans and/or mortgages • Experience with Financial services product is a plus • Experience with user migration is a plus • Proven track record of successfully launching technology solutions with geographically distributed team environment • Experience managing complex software development efforts for application development with high visibility and aggressive timelines Professional Certification/License • Cloud and Agile related certifications are a plus Skills and Abilities • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills • Strong knowledge of JIRA • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills • Knowledge of reverse mortgage servicing is a plus • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing solutions • Outstanding team management skills even in situations of no direct managerial responsibility • Strong database querying skills (DB2 and Postgres SQL) • Experience with data mapping / source-to-target mapping • Exposure to financial transactions data • AWS experience (nice to have) • Data migration experience (nice to have) • Highly self-motivated and directed • Ability to work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with timeline pressures. Must be responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions • Ability to work effectively, and collaboratively, with end users, business managers, executives and technology support staff
