Business Data Analyst

We’re hiring a Business Data Analyst for a long-term engagement with a reputable organization in the financial services / mortgage domain, based in Washington, DC. Your experience with financial data analysis and business reporting aligns very well with what the team is looking for. Job Description: Position Summary: Title: Business Analyst Standard II Duration: 6 Months – Long term extensions Location: Washington, DC 20433 Hybrid Onsite: 4 days onsite per week from Day1 with a transition to 100% onsite expected soon. Notes from manager: Strong experience in Financial and Investment domains. Proficient in modern data warehouse concepts and implementation of curated data sets. Proficient in SQL. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective team player. Excellent communication skills. Must Have Skills: • The BA should be able to think outside the box, challenge existing processes, analyze requirements, and break them down into well-defined user stories with sufficient details and achievable acceptance criteria. • Should possess an analytical and curious mindset to ask the right questions and effectively qualify business requirements. • Someone who’s genuine, honest, and smart, enthusiastic, accountable, a strong communicator, and always willing to go the extra mile to get things done. • 4-8 years of experience as a true business analyst. • Extensive experience in gathering business requirements and developing functional specifications. • Working level experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies.
