Business Data Analyst – Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting

Tatum by Randstad has an immediate need for a Sr. Business Data Analyst specializing in Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting for a long term project, 100% Remote. Looking for a sharp, communicative problem solver who understands data integrity, commands accounting controls, and can bridge the gap between finance and technology. You will play a pivotal role in prepping our data for a major SAP S/4HANA migration, working closely with internal leadership, technology teams, and our System Integrator. Responsibilities • Master the Data: Cleanse, validate, and reconcile fixed asset and lease accounting data to ensure it’s pristine for the SAP S/4HANA migration. • Build the Blueprint: Develop and maintain the "gold template" (master data set) used for conversion. • Test & Validate: Support multiple rounds of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You’ll help define testing scenarios, map out expected accounting results, and establish reconciliation procedures. • Protect Data Integrity: Assist with data governance standards, quality controls, and overall migration readiness. • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with Accounting leadership, the S/4HANA program team, internal IT, and our external System Integrator to ensure a smooth implementation and post-go-live stabilization. Qualifications • Strong Fixed Asset, Capital, and Lease Accounting (ASC 842) experience; ability to go beyond simple debits and credits to trace financial data to root causes. • Business-savvy analytical mindset with a proven ability to understand large accounting data sets and make informed decisions over how to use the data. • Experience supporting ERP data conversions, testing, and implementations (SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC is highly preferred) • Hands-on experience with data migration, cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and validation while maintaining strong accounting controls. • PowerPlan and/or Finance4U experience is highly preferred; advanced Excel skills are required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to partner and collaborate effectively across both Finance and Technology teams, internal project stakeholders, and external System Integrators. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
