Business Data Analyst

Data Analyst Client is looking for a Business/Data Analyst to join the Data Office and support its instrumentation of associated Data Products.  This individual will perform business and data requirements analysis and provide support and analysis of data collection, mapping, aggregation and balancing functions. Additional responsibility includes producing the proper supporting documentation, such as detailed business and data process flows and functional and data requirements specifications. Here's What We Are Looking For: • Provides business and data analysis to support, compile and report key information for business objectives • Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation • Performs quality assurance tests and reviews key information to ensure data quality aspects through the program • Drives resolution of business issues discovered during the testing process • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends • Functions as a liaison between business and technical teams in analyzing and assessing solutions to meet business and user needs • Supports the development of system, integration and UAT test scripts and other test documentation including a Testing Summary Report • Supports UAT activities • Conducts/participates in meetings with system owners to understand current data and business issues, resolve source data issues and refine transformation rules • Assists with performing source data quality assessments • Performs other duties as assigned Your Skills Matter! • Bachelor’s degree in Computer background related degrees, Business, or any other related field required • Five plus (5+) years of business and data requirements development experience is required • Established Business and Data Requirements experience in Data Warehouse/Data Management ecosystem • Solid SQL experience, including relational database experience (e.g., Snowflake); ELT experience beneficial • Annuity, Mutual Fund and Life Insurance background is preferred • Ability to gather requirements • Strong analytical skills • Ability to work with end users, Data and Business Analysts and all levels of the organization • Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills • Ability to quickly grasp and communicate business knowledge • Provide proper technical documentation to satisfy all corporate guidelines • Responsible for understanding and complying with laws and regulations that are applicable to the job function • Responsible for understanding and complying with company policies and procedures that are applicable to the job function System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
