Business /Data Analyst (2 positions) - Medicaid and Medicare experience (Mandatory)
Job Profile Summary
We are seeking a talented individual for a Data/Systems Business Analyst who functions as the liaison between the developer, product manager, and internal/external clients, reviewing, analysing, evaluating and documenting the technical component of data or systems business requirements for data/systems enhancements or new client implementations. Typically, manages a small implementation or a phase(s) of a larger implementation of moderate complexity.
Essential Job Functions
β’ Reviews, analyses, and evaluates data/systems business requirements for existing and new development.
β’ Documents technical and business specifications and functional needs, and modifies existing requirements
β’ Leads the data analysis and profile efforts for new client implementations and system enhancements.
β’ Facilitates technical meetings with IT and the business project team.
β’ Provides data mappings, user interface specifications, and processing logic as per business requirements to the Developer.
β’ Communicates with clients, developers and other team members.
β’ Tests development efforts and assists clients in user acceptance testing.
β’ Creates and maintains a project plan, documents meeting notes and distributes to team.
β’ Provides regular status reports to clients, developers, and management as needed.
β’ Provides mentorship and guidance to junior Analysts on the team as needed.
β’ Create and maintain test cases derived from sourceβtoβtarget data mappings, leveraging AIβassisted tools to improve accuracy, coverage, and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or related field preferred
β’ Experience working with different database structures (e.g., transaction based vs. data warehouse)
β’ Strong knowledge of SQL is a must
β’ Experience in a US Healthcare Business Analyst position experience (8 to 14 years for Senior Professional; 15+ years for Advisor) with 4 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred. Strong US healthcare domain knowledge is required, with good experience in Claims, Member, Provider is a must
β’ Experience working with different database structures (e.g., transaction based vs. data warehouse)
β’ Data mappers in the Health Plan construct. Very little tech. SQL experience and knowledge of using day-to-day AI tools.
β’ Need to understand the Health Payer data and the company.
β’ Need to understand Health Payer data and communicate well.
β’ BA who does ETL Design. Terminology in industry is source-to-target mapping work.
β’ The ability to read and understand ER diagrams is highly desired
β’ Knowledge and/or certifications in software development methodologies, such as Scrum, are desired, but not required
Other Qualifications
β’ Ability to drive project timelines to completion with a cross-functional team.
β’ Must be familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts.
β’ Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, fluently in English.
β’ Ability to develop professional relationships.
β’ Ability to be a high-impact player on multiple simultaneous engagements
β’ Willingness to travel
