Business Data Analyst Location: Warren, MI Schedule: Hybrid Pay Rate: Around $40/hour, depending on benefits and experience About the Role Our Tier 1 Automotive client's Energy Dealer Sales Operations group seeks a resourceful, meticulous, and highly motivated Business Data Analyst to streamline dealer network processes and provide strategic guidance to boost sales across direct sales, utility collaborations, and dealer pathways. This role is pivotal in supporting CI projects, utility integration strategies, and direct sales efforts for our client's Energy products (battery storage, solar panels, energy efficiency services). Key Responsibilities Direct Sales Enablement • Support CI projects involving our client's Energy products. • Contribute to utility integration strategies. • Assist direct sales efforts for V2H and HEMs promotion. • Participate in VIP sales program design, reporting, and leadership updates. Dealer Sales Support • Collaborate with accessories and ADI (Authorized Dealer Installers) on inventory and reporting. • Support inventory sell-down strategy and execution. • Partner with dealer field sales team to design and execute field-level sales strategies. • Implement programs/incentives to boost sales of charging products/adapters. • Manage dealer reporting using Power BI. Data Analytics • Build and maintain dashboards; analyze datasets to create visual insights and actionable recommendations. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred. • 2-4 years’ experience in sales, operations, marketing, or automotive sector, with at least 3 years working directly with dealers or in a similar role. • Experience collaborating with legal teams. • Strong analytical skills: able to interpret data, create reports, and deliver insights. • Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders. • Skilled in creating effective PowerPoint presentations, integrating data-driven insights, and supporting leadership decisions. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Lucid. Typical Day in the Role • Interpret and analyze complex datasets to support business decisions. • Create compelling visualizations using Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership. • Conduct ad-hoc reporting for various initiatives. • Evaluate incentive programs and report on their impact. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data optimization. • Opportunity for extension and growth.
