Business Data Analyst - Power BI & SQL

Start Date: Nov 17th Contract: 4-Months Linkedin profile required We’re seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in banking to design, build, and optimize data models and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SQL, data warehousing, ETL, and Power BI, and is passionate about turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain data models and schemas to support BI and analytics initiatives. • Use SQL to query, transform, and optimize large datasets for reporting and analysis. • Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports, applying UX and visualization best practices. • Develop and manage ETL processes to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver meaningful insights. • Apply data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas) to structure data efficiently. • Partner with data engineers and analysts to ensure smooth integration and reporting workflows. • Identify and resolve data quality issues and drive continuous process improvement. Required Skills & Experience • Banking industry experience is required. • Strong SQL proficiency with proven experience in data modeling and schema design. • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling). • Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and visual analytics. • Solid ETL experience (Alteryx preferred but not required). • Proven ability to manipulate and optimize large datasets for analytics. • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and presentations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in cross-functional data environments. • Familiarity with other data visualization or ETL tools. • Background in business analysis, data engineering, or analytics consulting.
