ob Title: Business Analyst Location: Fully Remote Duration: 6-Month Contract Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support a data reporting transformation initiative. This role will focus on bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring smooth migration and enhancement of reporting capabilities from BusinessObjects to Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional background with some technical exposure, particularly in reporting tools and SQL, and experience working with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with state stakeholders and end users to gather and document business requirements • Analyze existing BusinessObjects (BOBJ) reports to capture current (“as-is”) state • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for Power BI development • Work closely with technical teams to define reporting templates and resolve template-related challenges • Facilitate communication and coordination between stakeholders and development teams • Ensure smooth handoffs between business users and technical teams • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in Jira • Track project progress and time consistently using Jira • Support overall project delivery by ensuring timelines and requirements are clearly understood Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong experience as a Business Analyst in data/reporting projects Hands-on experience with: • Power BI and/or BusinessObjects • SQL (for analysis and understanding data structures) • Jira (documentation and tracking) • Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Nice to Have • Experience with Vue.js • Prior experience working with government or public sector stakeholders • Exposure to reporting migration or transformation projects Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
