Business Data Scientist I

Job Description This role supports the development and implementation of business intelligence tools, statistical models, and AI-driven insights to solve business problems and uncover opportunities. The Business Data Scientist I works collaboratively with internal teams and market intelligence partners to deliver scalable data solutions and reporting tools that enhance decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, and advanced analytics models • Build and support large-scale data pipelines and scalable processes for model development, validation, and deployment • Design and implement user-friendly data visualization tools and automated reporting solutions • Assist in developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to address business challenges • Work with large datasets across hybrid cloud environments and multiple data sources • Apply AI, ML, and statistical methodologies to uncover insights and drive recommendations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver effective solutions • Support ongoing enhancements to data accessibility, governance, and performance • Create technical documentation and participate in model lifecycle activities • Perform additional duties as assigned Proficiencies • Business intelligence and reporting • Data modeling and large-scale analytics • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate) • Predictive and prescriptive modeling • Data visualization and dashboard creation • SQL, Python, or R for data analytics • Working with hybrid cloud environments and multiple source systems Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics, database development, or similar roles • Experience in the natural gas industry preferred • Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate) • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Job Details • Experience Level: Mid-Level (2+ years) • Visa Sponsorship: Not available • Relocation Assistance: Not provided • Location: Not specified (remote/hybrid may apply depending on the employer) • Compensation: Based on experience • Travel: Minimal Skills: machine learning,business intelligence,ai,sql,python,data analytics,cloud analytics,power platform,power apps,data modeling
