The analyst will bridge the gap between technical data expertise and business strategy by collecting, cleaning, validating, and interpreting data, as well as developing predictive models and communicating findings to stakeholders. The role will also maintain and enhance multiple internal databases, ensure data integrity, identify and correct inconsistencies, and generate weekly and quarterly reports tied to evolving datasets. This position requires someone who can move fluidly between data science techniques, business analysis, and clear communication. Key Responsibilities • Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, performance drivers, and actionable insights related to billing operations and construction project workflows. • Collect, clean, validate, and transform data from multiple internal systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Develop predictive models and analytical frameworks to forecast workload, billing throughput, backlog, and operational performance. • Build KPI‑driven weekly and quarterly reports that measure billing team productivity, cycle times, accuracy, and other performance metrics. • Create dashboards and visualizations in Power BI and Tableau to communicate insights and highlight emerging trends. • Maintain, update, and improve internal databases; ensure data integrity and repair inconsistencies or errors in datasets. • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify anomalies, correlations, and opportunities for process improvement. • Translate analytical findings into clear business narratives and recommendations for leadership and operational teams. • Partner with billing, finance, and construction operations teams to refine KPIs and align reporting with business goals. • Document data definitions, reporting logic, predictive model assumptions, and database structures. Required Qualifications • 3–5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytics‑focused role. • Strong proficiency in Excel, including Power Query, pivot modeling, and advanced formulas. • Hands‑on experience with Power BI and Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization. • Demonstrated ability to clean, validate, and transform large datasets from multiple sources. • Experience developing predictive models or applying statistical techniques to operational data. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly. • Experience working in utilities, energy, construction, or other operationally complex environments is preferred. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple reporting cycles in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with utility billing systems, work management platforms, or construction project systems (SAP, Maximo, PowerPlan, Primavera P6). • Familiarity with KPI development for billing, productivity, and operational performance. • Exposure to statistical modeling, forecasting, or data science tools (Python, R, or similar — even at a foundational level). • Experience supporting continuous improvement or process optimization initiatives. Soft Skills • Highly analytical with strong curiosity and a proactive mindset. • Detail‑oriented and committed to data accuracy and integrity. • Able to translate complex data into clear, compelling business stories. • Organized, self‑directed, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
