Business Intelligence Analyst

Power BI Developer / BI Analyst Location: Hybrid in Nashville, TN (Franklin) Type: Contract Position Summary The Power BI Developer / BI Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making. This role combines hands-on dashboard development with analytical support for business stakeholders and operates as an individual contributor within a collaborative, business-facing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define reporting needs • Translate business requirements into effective data models and visualizations • Support and enhance existing BI solutions, including reports developed in Tableau • Convert manual and Excel-based reporting processes into scalable BI solutions • Assist with data preparation, transformation, and refresh processes • Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, usability, and performance • Document report logic, data sources, and dashboard usage • Provide ongoing support and enhancements for deployed BI solutions Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • 3–6 years of experience in Power BI development, BI analysis, or data analytics • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (report development and visualization) • Solid understanding of data modeling and analytical concepts • Experience modernizing Excel-based reports or macros • Experience working directly with business stakeholders • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Tableau • Familiarity with Power Automate or related Microsoft tools • Experience supporting operational, sales, or business analytics functions
