Business Intelligence Analyst

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst II. This position requires two days of onsite training (in Glastonbury, CT) and then allows for a fully remote work schedule. Project Description: A highly skilled, self-starting Business Analyst with strong communication and interpersonal skills is sought for a fast-paced Business Intelligence Team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in data analysis, visualizations, and data testing. Scope of Services: • Meeting coordination including agenda development and preparing meeting minutes. • Collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams. • Working with business colleagues to understand their processes and data needs. • Creating business and technical requirement documentation and obtaining stakeholder validation of requirements. • Acting as liaison between developers and subject matter experts. • Analyzing and formatting data including conducting statistical analysis. • Collaborating with developers to create dashboards including recommending table and graph designs, naming conventions, and writing definitions. • Mocking up reports and documenting report logic. • Testing and cleansing data sets and verifying accuracy. • Reviewing dashboards and reports with business colleagues to elicit their feedback. Minimum Qualifications: • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analysis, or a similar field. • A minimum of 1 year experience writing business requirement documents, report design, or similar tasks. • Proficient with Excel and Visio. • Experience with Tableau (or other visualization software) and SQL preferred. • Knowledge of criminal justice systems or prior work with judicial system data preferred. • Professionalism and flexibility in working relationships. • Ability to set individual priorities, complete work with limited direction, and work in a team environment.
