Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst in Jupiter, FL. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Management & Documentation:
β’ Create and document detailed business requirements for Power BI reports and dashboards
β’ Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather functional and non-functional requirements
β’ Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
β’ Maintain requirements traceability matrices and change control documentation
Data Analysis & Source Evaluation:
β’ Analyze new database sources feeding into Power BI & AI generated dashboards
β’ Assess data quality, completeness, and business relevance
β’ Document data lineage, business rules, and transformation requirements
β’ Collaborate with data engineers to validate data integrity and performance
Testing & Quality Assurance:
β’ Develop comprehensive test plans for Power BI reports and data validations
β’ Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate testing activities
β’ Validate business logic, calculations, and dashboard functionality
β’ Document defects and work with development teams for resolution
Business Process & Improvement:
β’ Map current state and future state business processes
β’ Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
β’ Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions
β’ Support change management and user adoption activities
Stakeholder Management
β’ Serve as primary liaison between business users and technical teams
β’ Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
β’ Facilitate cross-functional meetings and decision-making sessions
β’ Provide regular project updates and status reporting
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
β’ 5+ years of business analyst experience in data/analytics projects
β’ Strong experience with Power BI, data visualization, and reporting tools
β’ Proven expertise in SQL, database analysis, and data validation
β’ Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing methodologies
β’ Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes
β’ Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in utility/energy industry
β’ Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence
β’ Previous experience with database migration or dashboard implementation projects
β’ Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Work Environment
β’ On-site at Jupiter West facility
β’ Collaborative team environment with cross-functional project work
β’ Fast-paced environment supporting critical business operations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
