Business Intelligence Analyst

Payrate: $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to support revenue and advertising performance analytics. This contractor will work closely with cross functional teams, especially Sales, Marketing, and Data Engineering, to build dashboards, generate insights, and support ETL processes. This role is hands on and technical, involving data modeling, SQL-based transformation, and dashboard creation focused on advertising performance. The position will be 50% insights & visualization and 50% ETL/data work for the first year, transitioning later to heavier emphasis on insights and visualization. Responsibilities: • Data Insights & Visualization (50%) • Build and maintain advertising and revenue performance dashboards. • Create meaningful, actionable business insights using data visualizations. • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions. • Present and explain dashboards and insights clearly to non-technical audiences. • ETL & Data Management (50% - first year) • Support and maintain ETL pipelines as part of a larger system migration. • Work alongside the data engineering team to ensure clean, reliable data for business use. • Assist in data modeling, transformation, and data quality improvements. (Highly preferred but not required) • Troubleshoot SQL queries and pipeline issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: • SQL: Intermediate level required (ability to read, write, and debug queries). • Data Visualization Tools: Experience with any major BI tool (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, Domo). • Current environment uses Domo; prior Domo experience not required. • Data Modeling & ETL: Highly preferred but not required (can be learned). • Python: Nice-to-have (intermediate preferred but not required). • Ability to translate business questions into data solutions and vice versa. • Experience collaborating cross functionally, ideally including Sales teams. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle hypothetical/business-case scenarios. • Clear communication and strong stakeholder management. Experience Requirements: • 5-7 years of relevant experience in BI, analytics, or data driven roles. • Advertising or marketing analytics background is strongly preferred. • Healthcare or finance analytics experience also transfers well. • Other industries acceptable if candidate brings strong technical skills. Education: • Bachelor’s degree is preferred (field flexible). • Not strictly required if the candidate has strong experience and skill alignment; however, final approval is needed from leadership. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $55.00 - $60.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
