BI Intelligence Analyst
Hybrid 3 days/week in NYC - Tues-Thurs
3+ month long contract
Summary
A rapidly growing team is seeking a proactive and technically skilled BI Analyst to accelerate revenue strategy and sales performance through data-driven insights. This role is responsible for building, automating, and optimizing analytics and reporting processes across multiple sales channels, with a strong emphasis on observatory, admissions, and broader market data.
The ideal candidate thrives in large-scale data environments, possesses strong business acumen, and is passionate about streamlining workflows to deliver clear, impactful intelligence that informs strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
• Clean, validate, and optimize data within an existing Azure-based data lake.
• Transform large datasets (millions of rows) using SQL, Python, and advanced Excel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market, observatory, revenue, and capacity data.
• Rebuild legacy reports and design new analytics models for strategic and operational insights.
• Identify opportunities for workflow automation and reporting efficiency improvements.
• Translate raw data into actionable insights across revenue, admissions, occupancy, demand, and capacity metrics.
• Partner closely with FP&A, marketing, and sales analysts to align data sources, define logic, and strengthen reporting consistency.
• Support dynamic pricing analysis and modeling efforts by providing clean, structured, and reliable data.
• Apply strong business acumen to understand data context, evaluate trends, and support revenue-driving decisions.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Python, and advanced Excel.
• Experience working with large, high-volume datasets (millions of rows).
• Strong understanding of data validation, data hygiene, and technical performance optimization.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft analytics ecosystem (Azure, Power BI); no Tableau required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple reporting streams independently.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to think strategically and drive initiatives forward.
• Proven experience applying analytics within revenue, sales, pricing, or operational data environments (preferred).
• Ability to interpret data in business context and provide strategic recommendations.
