Role description
Main Purpose of the Role:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing
enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision making across
the client's company. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Finance, and Operations to design scalable reporting solutions, improve data
quality, and support business intelligence initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Power BI development experience, advanced analytical
skills, and the ability to transform complex business requirements into meaningful dashboards,
reports, and actionable insights. This contractor will also support ongoing enterprise initiatives
involving master data management, reporting automation, and AI-enabled business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards
β’ supporting enterprise business functions.
β’ Partner with Product Owners, business leaders, and functional stakeholders to gather
β’ reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
β’ Develop and optimize data models using Power BI, SQL, and enterprise data sources to
β’ ensure reporting accuracy and performance.
β’ Connect, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems including
β’ ERP platforms, data warehouses, and cloud-based applications.
β’ Develop enterprise reporting solutions that support Supply Chain, Customer Experience,
β’ Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and Master Data Management initiatives.
β’ Support enterprise AI and automation initiatives by creating reporting structures and
β’ analytics that improve operational decision making.
β’ Perform root cause analysis on reporting discrepancies, data quality issues, and dashboard
β’ performance concerns.
β’ Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), data governance standards, and reporting security
β’ best practices.
β’ Maintain documentation including business requirements, data mappings, report
β’ specifications, and solution architecture.
β’ Contribute to enterprise reporting standards, BI governance, and continuous improvement
β’ initiatives.
β’ Support testing, validation, deployment, and user adoption of new reporting capabilities.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting efficiency, automate manual
β’ processes, and identify opportunities for enhanced analytics.
β’ Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data
Analytics, or related field preferred.
β’ 5+ years of experience developing enterprise reporting solutions using Microsoft Power
BI.
β’ Advanced Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX experience.
β’ Strong SQL development and database querying skills.
β’ Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and enterprise reporting
environments.
β’ Experience creating interactive dashboards, executive scorecards, and operational
reporting.
β’ Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL concepts, and business intelligence best
practices.
β’ Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Power BI security models.
β’ Experience integrating Power BI with APIs, embedded analytics, and Microsoft Azure
environments.
β’ Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business
stakeholders.
