Job ID: 796019 Job Title: Senior Report Writer / Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Fayetteville, NC Work Arrangements: Remote Interview: Both Phone or In Person Job Description: The Senior Report Writer / BI Analyst is a lead expert in enterprise reporting and analytics, delivering advanced data solutions to support strategic, operational, and executive decision-making. This role requires strong technical expertise in SQL, Power BI, Ellucian Banner, and Argos, with the ability to mentor others, establish reporting standards, and translate complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and enterprise reporting solutions. • Build and manage advanced Power BI data models, DAX measures, and executive dashboards. • Serve as a subject matter expert on Ellucian Banner (student, finance, HR modules). • Develop and schedule advanced Argos reports. • Partner with leaders to define reporting strategies and KPIs. • Promote reporting standards, visualization best practices, and data quality. • Mentor junior analysts and guide technical reporting initiatives. • Support data governance, security, and compliance requirements. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience. • 5–7+ years in reporting, BI, or analytics roles. • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins and query optimization. • Advanced Power BI expertise: data modeling, DAX, row-level security. • Extensive experience with Ellucian Banner and Argos reporting. • Strong communication skills for non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in higher education or large enterprise environments. • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
