Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite 5 days/week) Duration: 3-month contract Position Overview: An experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support a customer engagement based in Santa Clara, California. This is a three-month contract role focused on designing and delivering enterprise business intelligence solutions using SAP and cloud-based data platforms. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deliver end to end business intelligence solutions using SAP BW on HANA, BW4HANA, native HANA, and Databricks. • Analyze complex business problems where data driven evaluation and judgment are required. • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and align with business system analysts and project management teams on scope, timing, and resources. • Execute user acceptance testing, performance testing, and security testing, including documentation of results and support for high priority enhancements. • Develop analytic reporting solutions including dashboards, data models, and business intelligence tools. • Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize report and query performance. • Partner closely with business system analysts and business stakeholders to deliver effective analytics solutions. Qualifications: • 8+ years of SAP Business Intelligence development experience with HANA, BW, and BW4HANA, including at least four full lifecycle implementations. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent professional experience. • Proven experience designing and configuring finance, sales, planning, or operations information providers using BW on HANA and BW4HANA. • Experience with advanced SAP BW features including complex transformations, advanced data store objects, composite providers, analysis process design, and performance optimization concepts. • Strong experience with data modeling concepts including remote cubes, multi cubes, operational data store objects, information cubes, transfer rules, routines, and user exits. • Experience building scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Spark, including PySpark and SQL, Delta Lake, and integration with SAP and enterprise data sources. • Experience with SAP HANA data modeling including attribute, analytic, and calculation views using graphical and SQL scripting. • Experience developing SAP BusinessObjects universes using Information Design Tool and creating Web Intelligence reports. • Ability to design and support backend security models to protect sensitive business data. • Proficiency using SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office to support complex planning and reporting scenarios.
