Contract BI & Data Analyst (dbt / Looker Studio)
3 months (outside IR35 – assessment dependent)
UK-based (fully remote, UK hours)
Immediate / short-notice start

A UK organisation is seeking an experienced Contract BI & Data Analyst to support a time-critical 3-month delivery cycle. The role focuses on building robust dbt models and delivering high-quality dashboards to support changes across multiple operational pathways.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused engagement for a contractor who can hit the ground running, work at pace, and translate evolving requirements into clear, reliable reporting and insight.
Role Objectives:
• Support delivery of multiple UK initiatives within a fixed 3-month window
• Build and maintain reusable dbt models underpinning KPI reporting
• Update dashboards to reflect new processes, tasks, and timings
• Enable stakeholders to understand and act on data insights
• Deliver confidently in a sensitive data environment (company-issued laptop provided)
Role Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain complex dbt models using SQL
• Develop and enhance dashboards (primarily Looker Studio, or equivalent BI tools)
• Deliver reporting across multiple operational pathways, covering activity, performance, and engagement metrics
• Translate ambiguous requirements into structured analytics and actionable outputs
• Work closely with non-technical stakeholders, explaining insights and technical constraints clearly
• Respond pragmatically to changing priorities within tight timelines
Skills / Experience Required:
• Strong commercial experience in BI / data analytics
• Advanced SQL with hands-on dbt experience (essential)
• Strong dashboarding / data visualisation capability
• Confident communicator with the ability to tell a clear story with data
• Comfortable working with evolving requirements and imperfect data
• UK-based, fluent English
Desirable:
• Cloud data platforms (e.g. BigQuery)
• Python
• Git / version-controlled analytics
• Experience working with regulated or sensitive data
