Role description
What will you be doing? In this varied, high-profile role, you’ll help create innovative solutions to our growing data needs and help support our colleagues to make data lead decisions. This exciting challenge will put your knowledge of Microsoft Stack, BI software and toolkits to the test. Working closely with your team of Data Analyst and Engineers, you’ll gather requirements, working within an agile framework of release and delivery, and most importantly, building and deploying Power BI datasets and reporting to over 500+ business users. In this varied role, you’ll be: Leading adoption of the Power BI platform, ensuring that stakeholders can easily access and interpret critical insights. You’ll help facilitate training and provide guidance to non-technical users. Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, capture specifications and transform them into actionable data solutions. Designing, developing and maintaining high-performance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions. Designing and implementing Power BI data models that follow best practices for security and performance Ensuring stakeholders have access to raw data as needed through self-service BI options in Excel and Power BI service Providing ongoing support and maintenance for our existing suite of reporting dashboards and BI Products How will I know if I am right for this role? We are looking for a talented and driven BI Developer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and Data Warehousing. This role would suit someone who is ambitious, enthusiastic and thrives working with pace and initiative. Ideally, you’ll bring a strong background in SQL logic, data modelling, and developing robust BI applications, with experience leveraging tools such as Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate. You’ll have an advanced knowledge of the Power BI DAX language and bring expertise in supporting Power BI tools such as DAX studio, Tabular Editor, ALM toolkit. You’ll need to be well versed in dimensional modelling (i.e., Kimball methodology). A confident communicator with logical problem-solving skills, you’ll be confident developing other members of your team on Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
