The ideal candidate brings an automation-first and AI-forward mindset, leveraging Power BI capabilities, Copilot integrations, and workflow automation to elevate data consumption.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models aligned with business needs.
• Build and optimize data models using Power Query (M) and DAX, ensuring accuracy, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and manage Power Automate workflows to support:
• Automated report distribution
• Data refresh alerts and notifications
• Workflow integrations with Teams and email
• Apply AI-driven features in Power BI, such as:
• Smart Narratives
• Key Influencers
• Decomposition Trees
• Anomaly Detection
• Q&A (natural language queries)
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and prepare data from relational sources (e.g., cloud data warehouses, SQL-based systems).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver meaningful BI solutions.
• Engage with business users to gather feedback, support adoption, and improve reporting usability.
Qualifications & Requirements
• 5+ years of Power BI experience, delivering business-facing dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Strong expertise in:
• DAX (measures, calculated tables, time intelligence)
• Power Query (M) for data transformation
• Experience building Power Automate flows for reporting automation and alerting.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled Power BI features and interest in leveraging AI to enhance analytics.
• Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g., cloud-based warehouses or lakehouse architectures).
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and user-centric report design.
• Experience managing content in Power BI Service, including:
• Workspaces
• Row-level security
• Scheduled refresh
• Deployment pipelines
• Demonstrated focus on automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Relevant certification such as Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) is preferred.
