Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to design, build, and manage the organizationβs enterprise data and reporting environment utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Power Automate. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a growing, PE-backed, family-run company that values innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
Youβll play a critical role in shaping the companyβs analytics ecosystem, driving automation, and supporting leadership with timely, accurate insights across sales, operations, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Architect the companyβs end-to-end data and reporting environment in Microsoft Fabric, including data modeling, governance, and security.
β’ Develop scalable ETL processes using Gen2 Dataflows and pipelines, creating Lakehouse and Data Warehouse structures that support analytical needs across departments.
β’ Lead and execute data migration efforts from legacy ERP systems (iRely) to modern platforms, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
β’ Design and deliver interactive Power BI and paginated reports, leveraging advanced DAX and M code to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
β’ Develop automated workflows in Power Automate to streamline manual reporting and business processes.
β’ Implement and manage data and report security within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including role-based permissions and access controls.
β’ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align analytics solutions with business objectives.
β’ Partner in the upcoming Salesforce implementation, integrating new data sources into the analytics framework.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer, or Data Engineer.
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Dataflows Gen2, Power Automate, and Data Lakehouse architectures.
β’ Proficiency in ETL design, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M code).
β’ Experience with automated and RPA workflows (Power Automate required).
β’ Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver automated, scalable reporting.
β’ Strong understanding of data governance, security, and access management in Microsoft Fabric/Power BI.
β’ Prior experience supporting ERP systems (iRely preferred) and exposure to Salesforce integration is a plus.
β’ Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and non-technical users.
