STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer on behalf of our client in Redmond.
We are looking for a data-driven professional with strong expertise in business intelligence, data engineering, and analytics to support enterprise reporting and strategic decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable ETL pipelines, optimizing data warehouses, developing executive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights from complex datasets.
Need AWS and Python experience as well.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Analysts, Engineers, and business stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, improve data quality, and streamline business processes through automation and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing and transformation.
• Build and optimize data warehouses, datamarts, and reporting frameworks to support analytics initiatives.
• Develop automated dashboards, KPI scorecards, and executive reporting solutions using modern BI tools.
• Perform deep-dive data analysis, trend analysis, and root-cause investigations to identify business insights and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Optimize SQL queries and data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement data quality validation processes and monitoring frameworks to ensure data integrity.
• Support business review reporting processes including weekly and monthly operational reporting.
• Automate manual reporting tasks and improve overall reporting efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including data definitions, KPI logic, and reporting processes.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong expertise in SQL and data analysis on large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and data transformation workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics and data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Python, Spark, or distributed data processing technologies.
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Experience supporting executive-level reporting and operational analytics.
• Knowledge of data governance, KPI frameworks, and reporting best practices.
• Prior experience working in large enterprise or technology-driven environments preferred.
