Role description
Job Title: Snowflake Developer / Data Engineer Work Location: Remote Duration: 12+ Months Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer / Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake architecture and advanced SQL development. The ideal candidate will leverage Snowflake native capabilities to design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data solutions. This role requires strong technical documentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile environments. Candidates with prior Supply Chain domain experience and exposure to SAP S/4HANA or Blue Yonder data sources are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake native features • Demonstrate strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, including: • Virtual Warehouses • Roles & RBAC • Data Sharing • Micro-partitioning • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, UDFs, and scripts • Perform SQL performance tuning and query optimizatio • Build and support ETL/ELT transformations within Snowflake • Develop, debug, and enhance complex data procedures and workflows • Create and maintain Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and detailed technical specifications • Integrate Snowflake with upstream/downstream data pipelines and orchestration tools • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment • Support data sourcing and integration from enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA and Blue Yonder (preferred) Required Skills & Qualifications • 3–7 years of experience as a Snowflake Developer or Data Engineer • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake platform (Advanced / P3 level) • Expertise in writing optimized, scalable SQL code • Experience developing stored procedures, UDFs, and transformations • Strong understanding of data modeling and performance optimization • Proven ability to write clear, detailed technical design documentation • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience sourcing or integrating data from SAP S/4HANA • Experience with Blue Yonder data environments • Supply Chain industry experience • Familiarity with orchestration or data pipeline tools If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
