Business MDM Analyst

Business Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst Contract Duration: 6 months Location: Fully Remote IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Day Rate: £440 per day (all-inclusive) Key Technology: Informatica (IDMC) Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst to support a large-scale data governance and data quality initiative within a consumer healthcare / FMCG environment. The successful contractor will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, governance, and usability of critical business data, including product, supplier, and customer master data across enterprise systems. This role will work closely with supply chain, regulatory, marketing, and technology teams to optimise master data processes, maintain data standards, and support product lifecycle data management. A strong background in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) is essential. Key Responsibilities Master Data Governance & Management • Manage and maintain high-quality master data across key business domains including product, customer, and supplier data. • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance across enterprise platforms. • Support the implementation and enforcement of data governance policies, standards, and controls. Informatica MDM & Data Platform Support • Work hands-on with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to support master data workflows and governance. • Configure and manage data quality rules, workflows, and data integration processes. • Support improvements to existing MDM frameworks and processes. Product Master Data & Lifecycle Management • Manage product master data aligned to the product lifecycle in consumer healthcare environments. • Support the management of complex product structures including: • Branding • Primary and Secondary Packaging • Repacking / Display configurations • Trade and retail product variants • Ensure data structures align with regulatory and operational requirements. Data Quality & Improvement • Perform data quality assessments to identify issues and improvement opportunities. • Implement data cleansing, enrichment, and validation techniques. • Monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Data Standards & Taxonomy Management • Maintain and optimise product taxonomies, hierarchies, and classification standards. • Ensure alignment with industry-specific healthcare product standards. • Support consistent data definitions and metadata management. Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and system configurations. • Facilitate collaboration across supply chain, regulatory, marketing, and technology teams. • Document data processes, governance models, and system workflows. Required Skills & Experience Core Experience • Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM) within FMCG or Consumer Healthcare environments. • Strong experience working with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). • Hands-on experience with SAP master data environments. Data & Governance Expertise • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices. • Experience implementing data quality rules, cleansing processes, and governance workflows. • Familiarity with data standards, taxonomies, and hierarchical data structures. Product Data Knowledge • Deep understanding of product master data structures and lifecycle management. • Experience managing product data related to: • Branding • Packaging hierarchies • Product variants • Trade / retail configurations Analytical & Communication Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions. • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills. Preferred Experience • Experience within consumer healthcare or regulated FMCG sectors. • Previous work on enterprise MDM implementations or transformations. • Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK. • Experience supporting cross-functional global teams.
