Role description
Our major entertainment client is seeing a Business Operations Specialist to join their team. This role partners with Business Operations leadership to lead administration and optimization of a resource scheduling system supporting Production Operations. The position sits at the intersection of systems, operations, and finance, ensuring alignment between tools, workflows, and financial outcomes. It also manages a small team responsible for scheduling requests and Tier 1 support, while driving system adoption, reporting accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. The Basics Duration: 6 months, potential to extend Hours: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Location: Hybrid, 3 days onsite in Atlanta, GA (Techwood area) Top Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in resource management, large-scale data analysis, and optimization of scheduling or reporting systems, including hands-on experience with MediaPulse and data visualization tools • Advanced Excel expertise with experience building complex pivot tables, data models, and analyzing large datasets with high accuracy • 5+ years of experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik to support reporting and analysis Other Qualifications Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across operations, finance, technology, and production teams Strong financial acumen including budget management, variance analysis, and reporting Ability to communicate complex technical and data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Experience with systems administration, data governance, and system integrations Familiarity with media, entertainment, or production environments preferred SQL experience is a plus Experience working in large, matrixed or global organizations preferred Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end administration of the MediaPulse scheduling system, including governance, workflows, user experience, and issue resolution • Drive system adoption, workflow alignment, and continuous improvement across production and technical operations • Manage vendor and IT relationships to support system performance, roadmap planning, and issue resolution • Oversee training strategy and delivery to ensure effective and consistent system utilization • Manage work order reconciliation processes, team oversight, and support channels while maintaining documentation and operational continuity • Own data governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of operational and financial data • Lead reporting efforts including monthly cost tracking, resource utilization reporting, and ad hoc analysis • Identify and implement system enhancements and integrations across HR, finance, and enterprise platforms • Partner with global user groups to align on best practices and system improvements • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement API integrations that enhance system capabilities and data accessibility In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
