Performance Reporting & Analytics Analyst
Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid)
7-month assignment (potential to extend / convert)
Pay: $65-68/ HR
Our client, a world leader bio-tech company who focuses on delivering therapeutics that provide meaningful advances to patients who live with serious and life-threatening rare genetic diseases, is looking for Performance Reporting & Analytics Analyst to join their team.
You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of compelling data visualizations, and provide advanced analytics to support Sales & Marketing functions. The successful candidate will drive data-informed decision-making by tracking sales performance, evaluating trends, and conducting market analyses.
You will serve as a strategic partner across business units, translating complex business questions into insightful, technically sound analytics and dashboards, ensuring consistency and alignment to our single source of truth. This position involves cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure reporting solutions meet business goals and data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead reporting and analytics initiatives aligned with organizational strategy and roadmap.
• Develop and deploy tools to improve market understanding and support business goals (e.g., dashboards, brand analytics, SFE reporting).
• Map initiatives to objectives, data sources, and KPIs to ensure consistent, aligned visuals and reporting practices.
• Own the development, enhancement, and maintenance of reporting suites, including data validation, data integrity checks, and gap analyses.
• Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to align on data structure and usage for strategic and operational analytics.
• Provide business requirements for reporting systems and partner with developers to ensure appropriate data accessibility.
• Guide and review offshore reporting resources, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data sets and troubleshoot issues in partnership with CFIT, FP&A, Field Operations, and external vendors.
• Produce documentation such as data dictionaries, training materials, and standard operating procedures to enhance data literacy and reporting usability.
• Design and construct dashboards for brand analytics, market share, and other commercial metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Commercial IT, Digital, Marketing) and vendors on data infrastructure, platform enhancements, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–7+ years of experience in business analytics; at least 3 years in healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical analytics strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Strong SQL and experience with tabular models and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with data science tools such as R or Python is a plus.
• Experience integrating data across core Sales & Marketing platforms.
• Deep understanding of data warehouse and BI environments.
