Job Title: Buyer / Purchasing Analyst Location: Mossville, Illinois (100% Onsite) Employment Type: W2 Contract Duration: 12 Months (Open for Extension) Salary/Rate $25.00–$28.00 per hour (W2) In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local pay transparency laws, the anticipated pay range for this position is $25.00–$28.00 per hour. Job Summary We are seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Analyst to support procurement and sourcing activities for components used in power generation products. This role will contribute to procurement strategy development, cost forecasting, supplier performance analysis, purchase order pricing, and spend analysis while collaborating with engineering, suppliers, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in procurement processes within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Responsibilities • Support the development and execution of procurement strategies for assigned commodities and purchasing categories. • Forecast and monitor material costs and analyze spend data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities. • Maintain accurate purchase order pricing and related procurement documentation. • Analyze procurement and category spend using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic macros, with Power BI preferred for reporting and visualization. • Evaluate supplier performance and support supplier selection, qualification, and development initiatives. • Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and internal business partners to support sourcing decisions and procurement objectives. • Assist with cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality, delivery, and operational requirements. • Apply established procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure purchasing compliance and consistency. • Prepare reports and procurement analyses to support business planning and decision-making. • Perform additional procurement-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of procurement or purchasing experience; candidates with at least 2 years of closely related experience may also be considered. • Experience in a Buyer, Purchasing Analyst, Procurement Analyst, Commodity Buyer, or similar procurement role. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic macros. • Experience analyzing procurement data, forecasting costs, and performing spend analysis. • Knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing operations, and supplier management. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience negotiating with suppliers. • Familiarity with QCLDM (Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management) processes. • Procurement or supply chain experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Experience using Power BI for reporting and data visualization. Work Requirements • Ability to work onsite five days per week in Mossville, Illinois. • Standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
