A leading financial services organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance mission-critical applications within a complex investment technology environment. This role will focus on building reliable software, improving system performance, supporting production issues, and partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong C#/.NET and SQL experience, solid application design skills, and experience supporting business-critical financial systems.
What You'll Tackle:
• Design, develop, and maintain applications supporting investment and transaction workflows.
• Build and enhance software using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
• Partner with business users, compliance teams, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and deliver timely, effective resolutions.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support software engineering best practices, including design patterns, unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Contribute to modernization efforts across legacy and current-state platforms.
• Mentor junior developers and help promote development standards.
• Support integrations with enterprise platforms, data services, and workflow systems.
What You Bring:
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong C#/.NET Core and SQL Server expertise.
• Experience supporting financial services, investment management, or enterprise transaction platforms.
• Experience with trading platforms, order management systems, or similar business-critical applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and service-oriented architecture.
• Ability to troubleshoot production applications in time-sensitive environments.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
