Cards SME / Business Analyst

Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Cards SME / Business Analyst on behalf of our client in Dallas, Texas. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the end-to-end Cards domain, including card issuance, transaction processing, authorizations, clearing and settlement, transaction posting, and dispute management. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to analyze requirements, support strategic initiatives, and drive successful delivery of cards-related programs and transformations. Key Responsibilities • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Cards business processes and operations. • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into effective solutions. • Support large-scale cards transformation initiatives, platform enhancements, and migration projects. • Perform source-to-target data analysis, mapping, validation, balancing, and reconciliation activities. • Conduct data analysis and reporting using SQL. • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder discussions. • Partner with cross-functional teams to support solution design, testing, and implementation activities. • Ensure alignment with project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks. • Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and customer experience within the cards ecosystem. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. • 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Cards SME, or related role within the Banking or Financial Services industry. • Strong functional knowledge of the complete Cards lifecycle, including: • Card Issuance and Embossing • Authorizations • Clearing and Settlement • Transaction Posting • Disputes and Chargebacks • Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and validation. • Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. • Proficiency with project collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience. • Ability to lead discussions, drive business requirements, and collaborate across multiple teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with VisionPLUS and Interest Processing. • Experience supporting new card product launches. • Prior involvement in large-scale cards platform migrations and transformation initiatives. • Strong understanding of data migration, reconciliation, and integration processes. • Experience working in complex enterprise-scale financial systems environments.
